Theory on Yatsufusa[]

So I realized that Yatsufusa works like Chess. It summons 8 puppets, and there are eight pieces in the back row of chess.

Wall and Apeman are the Rooks, Doya and Natala are the Bishops, Henter and Rokugoh are the Knights, that leaves Destaghoul as the Queen and Kaiser Frog as the king. And who are the pawns you say? They're the various unnamed puppets Akame fought that Kurome summoned as a last resort in their fight. Run's not apart of this because he was added later.

This is just a little theory I came up with, I could be completely wrong about all this... Probablysnot (talk)

While I like your idea, I don't think that's how it works. In my opinion, there are numerous reasons why this theory seems unlikely. Some of my reasons are: Kurome uses at least 17 different puppets in the manga, compared to 16 pieces that you use during a game of chess. The corpse puppets also retain some form of autonomy and don't really fit into distinct classes. The puppets abilities are just a matter of who she kills, she can't bestow a rank/ability or something on them. Your determination of the puppets respective piece seems to be quite random and could just as well be completely different. The puppets also act mostly of their own accord, by which I mean that while they don't have a will of their own, Kurome doesn't need to control them in great detail (just attack or defend me seems enough).  She also summons and controls them all at one and without the use of patterns. Yatsufusa isn't solely about control and having the puppets do all the work for you, your own combat skills are critical as well, since you can't make puppets otherwise. There are indeed 8 puppets and eight pieces in a row (or rank, if you will) at the start of a game of chess, but concluding that Yatsufusa works like chess because of that seems kind of a stretch. The eight is referenced in Yatsufusa's name and if Yatsufusa's ability wasn't limited, it could literally raise a small undead army and would be rather OP. As a chess player, I don't see that many similarities.RCM9698 (talk) 22:35, November 28, 2016 (UTC)
Might be just a coincidence. For future reference, please, sign your post and make a header for the topic you wish to discuss.NewGenTV (talk) 23:29, November 28, 2016 (UTC)
