After Tatsumi's capture and Lubbock's death in an attempt to infiltrate the royal palace, Najenda plans an emergency rescue mission to retrieve Tatsumi and Incursio, which is vital to their cause with Akame, Leone, Mine and Susanoo.

At the execution arena, Najenda sets off explosives previously planted by Lubbock at some point before his death that caught the Empire's guards off guard and scared away the audience after Mine made her first move. This resulted in a confrontation with Esdeath, who then battled her and Susanoo.

Throughout their battle, Esdeath uses her trump card that freezes space and time while she moved around freely, allowing her to remove Susanoo's core, but Najenda had a contingency plan that revives her humanoid Teigu in order to counterattack.

When the rescue operation is successful at the cost of Mine's life, Najenda and the few remaining Night Raid members leave with Susanoo holding off Esdeath, who promises that she'll remember him as a warrior, not as a mere Teigu, before eventually defeating Susanoo.

Deciding to end this once and for all, Najenda leads the Revolutionary Army's attack on the Capital while the rest of the remaining Night Raid members infiltrate the royal palace and kill Prime Minister Honest. During the attack, the former Imperial General witnesses the destructive power of Shikoutazer unleashed on the people, now knowing why Honest hasn't given up yet.

With the Revolutionary Army's total victory at the cost of Tatsumi and Leone's lives, Najenda dedicated her efforts to rebuild the country from scratch after heeding the Emperor's last wish before the former child Emperor was executed by guillotine for his crimes, while allowing Akame to take all the blame for Night Raid's actions in order to soothe public opinion.
