I kinda only heard recently that the anime existed thanks to Netflix. I binged the series in the span of a week. However, I started to feel sucked out near the end of the shows run. I liked the concept that no one had character armor for the most part, (*cough cough* Kurome *cough cough*), but then the last couple of episodes just started killing people off left and right because coincidence, luck, and at times bull shit. Chelsea died because Kurome survived a fatal nerve stab because at last second we learn she has some special implant. Then Mine died because she got too tired after beating a strong electric dude. Tatsumi (the used to be main character) dies because plot convenience leads the giant mechazord to start falling torwards all the towns people all grouped up, sitting in an area in town instead of getting out. Lastly, my favorite bullshit moment was when Leone died because the minister, this whole fucking time, had a imperial arms destroying ring, and pulls a gun out of thin air, then shoots her to death, not before Leone beats his skull into a bloody pulp, but still. I am clueless if this is something to do with the manga and anime running side by side when it was releasing, because I hear the manga and anime kinda differ passed episode 19. I don’t think that would cause bullshit like that, or the manga has it too but it’s better paced, but I hated how everyone just had to die because of arbitrary, lackluster, bad luck. I mean now that I think about it, my boy Bulat died because the bad guy of the day so happened to have poison he has “a resistance to” injects it into his bloodstream, and scraped him with his. If anyone wants to share their opinions please do, but I feel like the story went down hill hard.
