Hello all. (Skip the first paragraph if you are a tl;dr type of person.)
Let me start off by saying that I haven't read a single page of the manga...yet, and have only seen the anime series. But hopefully you won't hold that against me. After finishing the anime series I came to this wiki to check if the anime ending was actually canon and was delighted (and a bit confused and relieved) to see that it was not. However, after checking the History of the page I noticed that there was a bit of a "war" going on between the alive/deceased status from anime-only fans thinking that the anime status should be in the info box.
Proposition: change the names of "Filler Plot" tabs to "Anime Deviations".
Reason: I think this will clarify and educate any vistors to the wiki that only manga material is considered canon and thus only material from the manga should be displayed in the info box. There are many anime that follow the canon plot, but also have filler arcs. So for most anime fans "Filler Plot" would seem to indicate there was a portion of the anime that was filler material, when in actuality the link means "differences between the anime and manga versions."
Example: (If it hasn't been reverted yet) I edited the Tatsumi page as an example. What I did was simply change the tab name (which created a red link to the page "Tatsumi/Anime_Deviations" because of the tab template formating). Rather than copy all the info over (since it might be temporary, depending on the admins' decision) was to create that page (Anime_Deviations) as a REDIRECT to the "Tatsumi/Filler_Plot" page. After a few minutes of panicking because the link was still red, Wikia eventually caught up and now that tab is yellow with no problems going to the Filler Plot page. The result is that now the name better reflects the content of the page.
So, here are my questions to the admins and editing community:
Q1: Is the name change of the tab beneficial and does it serve the purpose for which it is intended?
Q2: Would you like editors (or just myself) to apply the change to other pages with the same tab label that also refers to a page about anime-only content?
Once those questions are answered I'll know whether or not ask a couple of other questions. (For example, my method of creating the page may not be the best. It was meant as a fix because the tab no longer went to the content that it had just moments before and I panicked. ~nervous half-laugh~ ) I understand the purpose and need of having uniformity of language and format of similar pages within a Wiki and hope I haven't disturbed this too much.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration of this matter.
P.S. I don't mind changing all the tabs by myself, if that is an issue. I'm recovering from surgery and have nothing but time (and physical therapy).
