Hmm. The people revolt only seems likely if esdeath pulls something, otherwise they would be too intimidated.
If that happened, the pm, who seemed to crack a bit after syura died, and would probobly crack a bit more if esdeath defected, would probably burn down the capital like syura wanted and pin it on NR and esdeath.
Just a thought. Although if esdeath dosent defect, then the city burning down would probobly happen when NR or the revolutionary army gets inside the city.
Personally, I really dislike this ship. I am a Akame Tatsumi shipper. But this is what you like and you don't need support if you really like that ship!

The best pairing is no pairing. Seriously, this manga has a lot of great and memorable moments, it doesn't need romance as a key factor, although I do like how the romance part leads the characters around but still, the auther shouldn't have made TatsumiXMine, it's quite annoying.
As for the AkameXTatsumi pairing, I dislike it too as I do for the EsdeathXTatsumi. I personally believe that Akame's best love interest is meat and Esdeath's is an iron whip.
