More than likely she will spare him or something majestic will save him

Folks seem to forget that night raid is only 4 people that can help him, 2 of which where beaten easily by esdeath, so it makes no sense for akame or mine with them to be able to save him.

As for Tatsumi, even with incursio he could not touch esdeath, and I doubt she'd be naive enough to even let his killing intent get near her. With incursio augmenting all his abilities, the best he could do was block her for 1 second, while both he and a realized sussanoo couldn't touch her.

If it's a public execution, odds are there would be more security than just esdeath, including the jaegers and wild hunt remnants, so the plan, if any, would have to be MASSIVE, and involve several people. Anyone who feels like NR can save him either give esdeath no credit, or NR too much.

However, if the masses of the towns folk got involved, since they hated and feared wild hunt, and if they hear NR are the ones who killed the leader, perhaps they'll start to revolt and NR takes advantage of it. Because I don't see NR doing anything without more people and chaos to save Tatsumi. Even though it was Esdeath who technically ended wild hunt so if they heard that they would probobly favour her more. maybe tatsumi gets last words and makes his heroic speech about his intentions and belifs and desire for a greater country that raises their spirits. would have to be prettygood so it turns out nothing like what youd see in naruto or fairy tail.

So if a riot is not likely, then it would have to be esdeaths doing and if not her, then wave due to probobly to understanding why someone like Tatsumi would join NR due to wild hunt, or the kiddy emperor will try something to help esdeath win her love since he is interested in it and wants to help her.

But yea, leave it to jerkweed takahiro. As much as I would love the story to have esdeath survive and win Tatsumi eventually, and would totally worship him if he did, mein just seemed weak to pair with Tatsumi. But then it was probobly intended to make folks more comfortable for a love interest to die or perhaps he underestimatd esdeaths popularity and overestimated meins

I hate this waiting game. Next chapter outa give me the answer I want with esdeath. Tatsumixesdeath 4 life!

Hmm. The people revolt only seems likely if esdeath pulls something, otherwise they would be too intimidated.

If that happened, the pm, who seemed to crack a bit after syura died, and would probobly crack a bit more if esdeath defected, would probably burn down the capital like syura wanted and pin it on NR and esdeath.

Just a thought. Although if esdeath dosent defect, then the city burning down would probobly happen when NR or the revolutionary army gets inside the city.

Personally, I really dislike this ship. I am a Akame Tatsumi shipper. But this is what you like and you don't need support if you really like that ship!
